The four mansions of the Kennebunkport Captains Collection - William Jefferds House, James Fairfield House, Acton Patterson House and Nathaniel Lord Mansion - are among the oldest in Kennebunkport’s historic district. These stately homes have passed through generations of Kennebunkport’s seafaring families and have been reunited as a luxury boutique experience that captures the history and spirit of this iconic Maine seaport. The collection of homes is yours to explore and, whichever house is your favorite, you will enjoy intimate hideaways and lively gathering spots, plush bedding and fine linens, soaking tubs, working fireplaces, and original art.

Location

The Kennebunkport Captains Collection mansions are located in Kennebunkport, Maine, just steps away from downtown with plenty of shops, boutiques and restaurants.

Accommodation Description

The four properties are very different from each other:

- Nathaniel Lord Mansion is the centerpiece of the collection, and the most dramatic and opulent, with 16 spacious yet intimate rooms, all featuring unique features, a grand four-poster bed, and original art.

- William Jefferds House is serene, airy and sunlit, with 10 guest quarters in the main house and an additional 6 in the attached carriage house, 3 of which are pet friendly.

- James Fairfield House is artful and eclectic, with eight of the nine rooms featuring a working gas fireplace and original abstract paintings from a local Maine artist.

- Acton Patterson House is private and intimate, perfect for families and groups. The house features dining and living rooms with grand fireplaces and a screened sun porch.

A variety of delicious items are available each morning at Nathaniel Lord Mansion (such as cut fruit, quiche or frittata, oats, pastries, and more) to start the day. Guests are invited to explore the property and the houses and enjoy breakfast wherever you prefer - even in the garden! Smaller, takeaway items are also available in the pantry at each house.
